A Question Of Temperature

A lot of you have been wondering "Is he dead? What's happened to him? We haven't heard from him in a long time. Should we make preparations to attend his funeral?"

No I'm still alive and still kicking, whom I decide to kick is no one's business, just random people I meet on the street, never small animals such as dogs or cats just people who deserve to be kicked. But anyway, I've been too damned busy to even breathe let alone do anything else. But today I have some free time. And I shall make more free time in my free time.

Being the fan of Pete Doherty that I am, his music that is, not his lifestyle, what more is there to say except "I'd be a liar if I said I'd never do drugs again."

Song Of The Week - Reflections Of My Life

Reflections Of My Life by The Marmalade

If you like this video, please download it before youtube removes it for some silly reason. I use ZamZar. I insert the url, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79NiN7ISW7E and select mpg as the file format, and give them my email address, and then wait a few minutes for them to send me an email with the download link.

Lyrics:
The changing
Of sunlight to moonlight
Reflections of my life
Oh how they fill my eyes

The greetings
Of people in trouble
Reflections of my life
Oh how they fill my eyes

All my sorrows
Sad tomorrows
Take me back to my own home

All my crying
Feel I'm dying, dying
Take me back to my own home

I'm changing, arranging
I'm changing, I'm changing everything
Well, everything around me

The world is a bad place
A bad place, a terrible place to live
Well, but I don't wanna die

All my sorrows
Sad tomorrows
Take me back to my own home

All my crying
Feel I'm dying, dying
Take me back to my own home

All my sorrows
Sad tomorrows
Take me back to my own home

All my crying
Feel I'm dying, dying
Take me back, take me back.

Ahhh....The Seventies

So who here remembers the seventies? The 1970's that is, I'm not talking about age here. I would've remembered the seventies better if I was older, but since I was born in 1972, I was a little too young to remember much of it. I think it was about having lots of free unprotected sex, and avoiding commitments in relationships at all costs, and Watergate and Nixon and the end of the Vietnam War and the end of the draft. The Bee Gees and disco and Welcome Back Kotter, and the movie Car Wash, definitely.

Afro's and bell bottoms and pet rocks and Have Nice Day! Jimmy Carter and his peanuts. He sent one to us in the mail back in 1975 I believe, and I ate it and it was dry. Saturday Night Fever and John Travolta and Vinnie Barbarino and Happy Days, and for me kindergarten in 1978. I don't remember it all but I do remember the music, and that's what's important to me is the music.

So without further ado, here is the best of the Seventies thus far, according to me. I'll be adding more, most definitely.

Time Life Soul Story

This Is The Time Life Soul Story Collection in all it's glory, more or less, a few songs just were not available, and of course there's a 3 song per group limit, which put a little bit of a damper on things, but not much. Great music. 150 songs in the original collection, I added a couple extra songs to make up for the ones that were not available.
